Randall Carter

Randall E. Carter, 69, of Danville, passed away at 12:10 pm, on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the VA Palliative Care Center, Danville. He was born on April 26, 1948 in Danville, Illinois, the son of Walter and Mary (Cramer) Carter. He will be dearly missed by his mother, Mary Carter; son, Blake (Jessica) Carter; daughter, Tara (Hollie) Carter; brothers, Tim (Michelle) Carter, Greg Carter, sisters; Debbie and Rita Carter; grandchildren, Mason, Myla, Steven and Layka Carter. He worked as a park ranger at Kickapoo State Park for several years and then later retired from the VA in 2013. Randall enjoyed fishing, hunting, Chicago Bears and listening to old time music. He loved spending time with his family. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, April 20, 2018 at Danville National Cemetery, 1900 East Main St. Danville. A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the VA Chapel, Danville. Memorial donations may be made in Randall's name to the VA Illiana Palliative Care Center.
