Ramona Gossett

Danville- Ramona L. Gossett, 82, of Danville passed away at 12:00 AM on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Danville. She was born on October 4, 1930 in Danville to Donald and Mable Horner Green. She married Donald L. Gossett on March 29, 1951. He preceded her in death on August 28, 1993. She is survived by a daughter, Deborah (Larry) Seaman of Danville; a brother Bill (Shirley) Green of Urbana; sister Lavona (Joe) Haas of Sterling, VA and a sister-in-law Elva Bowman; two grandchildren, Clinton and Shelby Seaman; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Dorothy Way. Ramona had been a bookkeeper for Fedco Electric Company, and also helped run her family farm with her husband. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, cooking, sewing, and her German Shepherds. Ramona also loved being involved with the daily operations of the farm. A service to celebrate the life of Ramona L. Gossett will be held at 10 AM Monday, October 8, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Burial will follow at Gundy Cemetery in Bismarck. Pastor Kurt Sovine will officiate. Visitation will be held from 3-6 PM on Sunday, October 7, also at Sunset in Danville. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, or the church of the donor's choice.
