Ramon Stein

Danville- Ramon Stein, 83, of Danville passed away at 4:35PM on Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL. He was born on April 18, 1928 in Havana, Cuba to Ruben and Dveira Levin Stein. He married Regina Teichberg in Havana on March 22, 1953. She survives. Also surviving are 5 children, Milt (Kate) Stein, Rose (Dave) Stein, Sam (Jody) Stein, Mike Stein, and Marc Stein, five grandchilren, Jake, Amanda, Max, Emma, and Jack, and three great-grandchildren, Brenna, Emily, and Olivia. He was preceded in death by his parents. Ramon served as a lieutenant commander in the US Navy Medical Corps. He continued his work as a physician where he specialized in family practice and surgery. Graveside services for Ramon Stein were held at 1 PM on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Springhill Cemetery in Danville. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville was in charge of arrangements.
