Ramon Martinez

Ramon Martinez, 65, of Hoopeston, passed away on July 30, 2022. He was born in McAllen, TX on July 19, 1957, the son of Felipe and Santos Martinez. On February 9, 1976, Ramon married the love of his life Lina Martinez, she survives.

Ramon is also surviving are his children, Viola Martinez, Eva Martinez, Kristopher (Amber) Martinez; grandchildren, Aisha Coonce, Odalies Resendez, Eric Resendez, Gissele Resendez, Felipe Resendez, Laura Martinez, Robert Dykeman, Willa Martinez; siblings, Octavio Martinez, Ester Martinez, Juan Martinez, Jose Martinez, Felipe Martinez, Roberto Martinez, and Criselda Enriquez.

He is preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Hannah Winters.

Ramon was the life of the party, he loved spending time with his family and friends, playing cards and showing off his card tricks. Ramon also enjoyed fishing and gardening. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.

Visitation will be held on Friday August 5, 2022, from 9am to 11am at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. A Celebration of Ramons life will be held immediately following the visitation at 11am at the funeral home.
