Ralph M. Graham, Jr.

Danville Ralph M. Graham, Jr., 87, of Danville, passed away at 8:52 PM on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Colonial Manor in Danville. He was born April 11, 1936 in Bloomington, IN to Ralph M. Graham, Sr. and Meredith (Manion) Graham. He married Mary Janell Farrell on December 27, 1958 in Manhattan, KS. She survives.

Also surviving are six children, Shann Kathleen Graham of Danville, Christopher James (Ann) Graham of St. Joseph, Mark Farrell (Sue) Graham of Cary, IL, Anthony Manion (Stephanie Lazich) Graham of Wixom, MI, Michael Patrick (Jim) Graham of Westville, and William Drew (Jennifer) Graham of Pewaukee, WI; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Nancy Graham.

Ralph graduated from Wichita East High School in Wichita, KS in 1954 and Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS in 1958. Following his education, he served his country in the United States Marine Corp from 1958-1962. Ralph had a long career with the Veterans Administration, having worked at Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis, MO, VA Medical Centers in Topeka, KS, and Tomah, WI, and retired from the VA Medical Center in Danville in 1991.

Ralph enjoyed playing golf, volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, and had been a member of the Elks Lodge 322.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Ralph M. Graham, Jr. will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61834. Cremation rites will be accorded prior to the services. Entombment will be at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
