Ralph Hancock Jr

Ralph Hancock, Jr, 79, of Westville, passed away at 11:35am, October 22, 2009, at Provena USMC, Danville. He was born on December 19, 1929, the son of Ralph and Ella (Holbrook) Hancock. On July 30, 1961, he was married to Peggy Townsend, who will miss him dearly. Also surviving: his children, Ralph (Bonnie) Williams, Jack (Marcia) Good, Tracy Hancock, Debra Biava (Tim Grigsby), Tammy Legg, Trina (John) Hill; his grandchildren, Jack Good Jr, special grandson, Michael (Kim) Grider, who helped take care him for the last several years of his life, T.J. Hancock, a special granddaughter, Jessica (Justin) Cooper, Amy , Amanda, Alicia, & Niki. Ralph had many friends and never knew a stranger. He served as medic in the US Navy & Reserves. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and especially his dogs, Kid, Spunky, Molly, & Sissy, whom he will be joining, and Coco & Buffy. Ralph was a life-long member of the Operating Engineers Local #841. Memorial Service will be held from 4pm to 7pm, Monday, October 26, 2009, at the Westville American Legion Post #51. He will be laid to rest in Springhill Cemetery, Danville, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be give in Ralphs name to Vermilion Manor Nursing Home, the Humane Society, or donors choice. Sunset-Urbas Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. His family will miss him very much.
