Ralph Foreman

Ralph W. Foreman, 94 of Georgetown, passed away Friday, September 2, 2016 at his daughter's home in Ft. Pierce, Florida. He was born February 5, 1922 in Newport, IN son of Amos David and June K. (Malone) Foreman. Ralph married the love of his life Dorothy Miles on June 29, 1940. She proceeds him in death. Surviving are his daughter, Marsha (Philip) Miller of Ft. Pierce, FL; grandchildren, Mary, Ralph Stephen, David, Michelle, and Natalie; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Raymond (Betty) Foreman of Ft. Pierce, FL; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, parents, son Ralph L. Foreman, two brothers, and one sister. Ralph was a kind and loving Christian man and a member of Olivet Nazarene Church. He was a pastor for various Nazarene churches serving in Home Gardens, Montezuma, IN, and Oakwood. After retiring from the ministry he worked for CRIS senior services and enjoyed keeping busy in his work. For the last five years he enjoyed retired life at his daughter's home in Florida. Ralph was a proud veteran of the US Army serving during WWII outside of Rome, Italy. During his service he earned a Silver Star for his bravery and a Purple Heart. Above all Ralph loved his God and his family. His presence will dearly be missed by all who knew and loved him. A celebration of Ralph's life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Sunset Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E. West St., Georgetown. Pastor James Blue will officiate. He will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Cemetery in Ridge Farm next to his wife. Visitation will be held Friday, September 9, 2016 from 4-7 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in Ralph's name to Olivet Nazarene Church or a hospice of the donor's choice.
