Priscilla 'Sid' Wells

Danville- Priscilla J. "Sid" Wells, 81, of Danville passed away at 1:00 AM on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. She was born on February 23, 1931 in Danville to Benjamin Francis and Flossie Ellen May Songer Huron. She married Floyd E. Wells in 1950. He preceded her in death on December 27, 2008. Surviving are six children, Cathy Miller, Connie (Dave) Jackson, Jim (Jo) Wells, Sally (Steve) Jones, Floyd (Jennifer) Wells, and Tim Wells; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret Colwell. She was preceded in death by her parents, two children, Floyd Jr. and Teresa, six siblings, Lucille, Leona, Lillian, Ben, Betty, and Marion, a son-in-law, Ron Miller and a grandson, Jeremy. Sid loved to spend time with her grandchildren and family. She was a caring woman, having always given to needy children abroad, and always had an ear to listen if you needed her. A service to celebrate the life of Priscilla "Sid" Wells will be held at 2 pm on Monday, September 24, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Pastor Dustin Wells will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1-3 pm on Sunday, September 23, also at Sunset in Danville.
