Phyllis Ann Randall (Mrs. R) Phyllis Ann Randall, 75, of Danville, passed away at 6:17 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2007 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. Phyllis was born on September 2, 1932 in Rankin, Illinois, the daughter of William and Ethel (Grove) Varner. She married Ray Randall on April 16, 1955 at St. Pauls Catholic Church. He survives. She is also survived by her two sons-Rick (Mary) Randall and Mick (Janet Michael) Randall both of Danville; two daughters- Terri (Larry) Jaggers and Cherri (Scott) Drews both of Danville; three brothers- Alvin (Mary Lou) Varner of Monticello, Indiana, Howard (Rosemary) Varner of Danville and Dick (Vi Blake) Varner of Rossville; one sister- Mary Saikley of West Palm Beach, Florida; six grandchildren- Christin and Cory Randall, Tara and Travis Jaggers and Blair and Brock Drews; two great-grandchildren- Caden and Jaycie; one special niece and caregiver- Pat Cunningham of Danville, and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers- Gerald Varner, Charles Varner, Lyle Varner, Fleming Varner, and Cleon Varner; two sisters- Sarah Webster and Gertrude Czop. Phyllis graduated from Bismarck High School in 1951. After school she attended Illinois State. Phyllis ran a day care in her home for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Pauls Catholic Church and St. Elizabeths Auxiliary for many years. Phyllis enjoyed going bowling and to Curves to visit with her friends. She loved to spend her time shopping and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Phyllis treasured being around her family and spending time with them. She was truly a friend to all and never met a stranger. A Mass of Christian Burial for Phyllis Ann Randall will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at St. Pauls Catholic Church, with Father Greg Nelson officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 " 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center. A rosary service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery following the mass. Memorials may be made to the St. Pauls Catholic Church or to Schlarman High School in memory of Phyllis Randall.
