Phyllis R. Voss

Phyllis R. Voss, 86, of Danville passed away January 19, 2018 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center. She was born in Broadlands, IL, June 1, 1931, the daughter of Fred and Mildred (Hires) Sadler. She married Harlan Voss in Danville, IL on July 22, 1972. He preceded her in death in 2000. Phyllis was an avid bowler and golfer. She was a member of the Danville Elk's Club and Harrison Park Golf Association. Phyllis is survived by her son, Bob (Charisse) Cromwell of Danville; step-son, Terry (Julie) Voss; sister, Shirley Parker of Apache Junction, AZ; grandchildren, Jason (Mandy) Boyd, Joshua (Kristina) Boyd, Robert (Stephanie) Catron, Jennifer (Scott) Danner, Swazie Cromwell; sister-in-law, Esther Bostwick. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Donald Bostwick, Bob Bostwick and Bill Bostwick; sister, Bonnie Johnson and daughter, Cathie Jo Boyd. The family would like to give special thanks to the entire Presence USMC and Harbor Light Hospice staff for their wonderful care of Phyllis. Visitation will be 1-2 PM, Monday, January 22, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 North Vermilion Street, Danville, IL 61834. Service will begin at 2 PM with Pastor Jim Blue officiating. Entombment will be at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials may be made in her name to Harbor Light Hospice or The Wounded Warrior Project.
