Danville, Ill. - Phyllis M. Torres, 70, of Danville passed away at 9:55 p.m. CST Friday, February 10, 2017 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. She was born July 25, 1946 in Parke County, Indiana the daughter of Gladys (Sowers) Miller and Clifford Trinkle. Survivors include four daughters, Betsy (Jimmie Koenig) Smith of Danville, Illinois; Melissa (Jaime) Bravo of McDade, Texas; Katina (Terry Severado) Smith and Tiffany (Daniel) Malaga Xolo both of Danville, Illinois; one son, Rigoberto (Juli Fourez) Torres of Fithian, Illinois; her mother, Gladys Miller of Danville, Illinois; special companion, Guy Smith of Danville, Illinois; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; one sister, Patty Bollinger of Ravena, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. Phyllis was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Trinkle; grandson, Dewayne Severado and two brothers, Roger and Lonnie Dean Trinkle. Phyllis was a homemaker. She enjoyed play bingo, playing cards and Hayday, watching T.V. and cheering on her beloved Chicago Cubs. Most of all, Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her family. Graveside services: Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 1 p.m. EST at Rush Creek Cemetery east of Tangier, Indiana; Officiating: Pastor Kurt Sovine. There will be no visitation.
