Phyllis M. Runyan

Phoenix, AZ- Phyllis Runyan, 83, of Phoenix, AZ, formerly of Danville, passed peacefully on Sunday, October 14 at her home in Phoenix. Phyllis Stout was born November 21, 1928. She was married to John Starwalt in 1947who preceded her in death in December of 1964. She later married Kenneth E. Runyan, Sr. in 1966 who preceded her in death in 2008. She is survived by six sons, Gary Starwalt, Dan Starwalt, Ken Runyan, Jr., Robert Runyan, John Runyan, and James Runyan. She was grandmother to Matthew Runyan, Bob Runyan, Patrick Runyan, David Runyan, Gregory Runyan, Kevin Runyan, Scott Runyan, and Amanda Runyan. She was great-grandmother to Mariel Runyan, Gabrielle Runyan, William Runyan, Audrey Runyan, Adam Hanson and Alison Hanson. Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a special person who could see the beauty in anything and everyone! She was an artist at heart and enjoyed having several art shows. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by all who knew her. A private family visitation for Phyllis Runyan will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Friends are welcome to join the family for a service to be held at 2:00 PM, also on Saturday at Sunset. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Danville Art League or a Church of the Donor's Choice.
