Phyllis Jean Marsh

Phyllis Jean Marsh, 92, of Danville, Illinois, passed into Jesus’s loving arms on Friday, October 25, 2024. She was born October 28, 1931, in Danville, Illinois to Donald and Helen Marsh.

Phyllis is survived by her daughter Shelley (Scott) LaMar, three grandchildren Anthony (Bailey) LaMar, Michaela (Dylan) Howie, and Meghan (Kirby) Burk, 6 great-grandchildren Brianne LaMar, Rowan Crawford, Remi LaMar, Layla LaMar, Gabriel Howie, and Bridger Burk, and sister Donna Toms. Along with her best friend for many years Ida Mae Carpenter.

She was proceeded in death by her father Donald Marsh, mother Helen Marsh, great-grandchild Kodi Howie, and sister Patricia Nickle.

Phyllis was a secretary for over 30 years at ESCO Corporation. After that she started working at Danville High School as a Lunch Lady for 15 years. Phyllis’s favorite pass time was going to thrift stores and garage sales to find the best bargains and deals. She was a Dollar Tree fanatic and would never pass up time to play BINGO with friends and family. Phyllis was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church here in Danville, Illinois.

A visitation will be held from 10:00AM – 12:00PM Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Sunset Funeral Home, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, IL 61832. Graveside Service to follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 3901 N. Vermillion St., Danville, Illinois 61834, with Pastor James Yonkers officiating.
