Phyllis Jean Boyd

Danville Phyllis Jean Boyd, 86, of Danville passed away at 2:07 PM on December 23, 2 019 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis, IN.

Phyllis was born the daughter of Russell T. and Helen (Saxon) Cooke on August 5, 1933 in Danville, IL. She married Frank R. Boyd on November 1, 1953 in Danville, IL and he preceded her in death on November 30, 1989.

Survivors include her daughter, Sheri (Joseph) Foster of Fishers, IN, one son: Larry (Jodi) Boyd of Allen, TX, three grandsons, Brandon (Nicole) Boyd of Dallas, TX, Bryce Boyd of Newport Beach, CA, Blake (Emily Winter) Boyd of Dallas, TX, and two granddaughters, Kelli Foster of Bloomington, IN and Jenna Foster of Chicago, IL

Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter, Shirley Lane.

Phyllis was a member of Farmers Chapel Methodist Church. She worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital and later Provena USMC with Senior Spirit for over 40 years. After Phyllis retired, she would still return the hospital to volunteer. Phyllis enjoyed spending her freetime with her family and friends, traveling, "competitive" B.I.N.G.O., playing various games and garden parties. Among of some of her favorite things were Surf n Turf, the Hallmark Channel and her beloved dog, Molly.

A Celebration of Life held on Saturday Dec 28, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, Illinois 61834. Darla Holden of Farmers Chapel Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2019 from 9:00 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to a Parkinsons Disease Foundation.
