Phyllis J. Earlywine

Perrysville, Ind. - Phyllis J. Earlywine, 83, of Perrysville, passed away at 11:32 a.m. EDT Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital in Williamsport, Indiana. She was born November 26, 1929 in Clark Center, Illinois, the daughter of the late Ernest O. and Irene Gross Wilson. She married Donald Rex Earlywine on April 21, 1948 in Casey, Illinois. He preceded her in death on June 7, 1999. Survivors include her children, Marilyn(Ron)Gebbink of Danville, Illinois; Vickie(Dean)Pickett and Mike(Tammy Scott)Earlywine, both of Perrysville, Indiana; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Johnson. Phyllis retired in 1989 from the food service department at the V.A. Illiana Health Care System in Danville, Illinois. She was a 1947 graduate of Casey High School in Casey, Illinois. Phyllis was a member and past president of the Perrysville American Legion Auxiliary Unit 350 and the Perrysville United Methodist Church. Phyllis enjoyed helping her family and many friends. Funeral services: 2 p.m. EDT Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the Perrysville United Methodist Church in Perrysville, Indiana; Officiating: Mike Earlywine and Rev. Jason Dean; Burial: Hicks Cemetery in Perrysville, Indiana; Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. EDT Friday, September 27, 2013 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana, and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.
