Phillip Gale Fortner

Cayuga, Ind. - Phillip Gale Fortner, 78, of Cayuga passed away at 8:49 a.m. EDT Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at his residence.

He was born January 12, 1941 in Cayuga, Indiana, the son of the late Forrest and Celia (Snyder) Fortner.

Survivors include one daughter: Gayla (Terry) Riggs of Rockville, Indiana; son: Kevin Fortner of Cayuga, Indiana; sister: Janice (Leonard) McBride of Cayuga, Indiana; five grandchildren: Tiffany (Justin) Hein; Brandie (TJ) Lowery; Ashley (Jacob) Martin; Bree Fortner and Bailea Fortner; ten great-grandchildren and special friends: Raymond Peterson and Thomas Miller.

Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters: Delores, Phyllis and Lanie and one brother: Larry Fortner.

Phillip was a 1960 graduate of Cayuga High School. He worked as a security guard at Inland Container up until his retirement. He enjoyed playing cards, spending time with family and taking pictures.
