Phillip D. Schutz

Phillip D. Schutz, 42, of Danville, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 18th, 2011 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center. Phillip was born on October 25th, 1969, in Danville, the son of Leonard and Mary (Melton) Schutz. He married Bobbi Jo Hancock in 2002 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives. He is also survived by his two daughters- Samantha and Grace Fencher of Danville; grandmother- Grace Melton of Tilton; four brothers- Wayne Schutz of Peoria, Dennis Cheesman of Westville, David Ray Cheesman of Crawfordsville and Brian Cheesman of Mansfield, Ohio; step-father- Dave Cheesman of Westville; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandfather- Allen Melton and mom- Mary Cheesman. Phillip loved playing euchre, going fishing, watching and playing sports. He will be greatly missed by all of his family. A Celebration of the life of Phillip David Schutz will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 25th, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home, with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Entombment will follow the service in Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
