Phillip Juvinall, 88, of Danville, Illinois passed away on June 6, 2023 at Accolade Health in Danville. He was born on September 18, 1934 to David and Hattie (Kester) Juvinall in Danville, Illinois. Phillip married Marguerite Holycross on June 7, 1954 at St. James Church in Danville.
Phillip is survived by his children, Jackie Juvinall, Jayme Biava, Becky (John) Gallez, George (Joanie) Juvinall, and Carla (Chad) Hess; His grandchildren, Jason Biava; Jennifer Strawser; and Thomas, Shane, and Hope Juvinall; his 11 great-children, Kallie and Konner Biava; Dakottah Burke; Evan, Liam, and Audrey Parish; Audrey, Carson and Quinn Strawser; and Mitchell and Maia Juvinall; Phillip also leaves behind three great great grandchildren, JJ and Ollie Rangel; and Kash Burke.
He also leaves behind his brother Ronnie Juvinall and his sister-in-law Carol Sue Hicks, a special friend Maggie Barrick and her daughter Billie Barrick, a special nephew Darrell Carpenter, his loyal dog Mosey, and so many others whom he loved and treated like family, that loved him.
Phillip is preceded in death by his parents, wife, a grandson Mitchell Juvinall, five sisters, and two brothers.
Phillip enjoyed all sports but especially baseball. Phillip cherished playing baseball in the Army and later received an offer to play for the Cardinals. He enjoyed having a cold beer with family & friends and he never meet a stranger. He loved being involved in his church, Bethel Lutheran, and served his country in the Army. He was also a proud member of the Honor Guard.
A celebration of Phillips life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 10, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Danville with a burial at Sunset Memorial Park to follow. Pastor Ed Stone will officiate. A visitation will be held the night before on Friday, June 9, from 4:00-7:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home in Danville, IL, 3940 N Vermilion St. Memorial donations can be made in Phillips name to either Bethel Lutheran Church or the American Legion Post 210.
