Phillip C. Richardson

Terre Haute, Ind. - Phillip Conn Richardson, 88, of Terre Haute and formerly of Eugene, Indiana passed away at 11 p.m. EDT Saturday, October 17, 2020 at the Vermillion Convalescent Center in Clinton, Indiana where he had been a resident since September.

He was born September 30, 1932 in Eugene, Indiana the son of the late Jess Alfred and Florence (Weir) Richardson.

He married Leona Pearl Bassett on September 2, 1951 in Perrysville, Indiana. She survives.

Phillip is also survived by his sister, Inez Jean Thomas of Sarasota, Florida. He is preceded in death by one sister, Mary McMasters and three brothers, Vance Lee; Sanford Ray and Jesse Richardson, Jr.

Phillip formerly worked at M.D. Moody and Sons as a heavy equipment operator. He was a United States Army veteran serving during the Korean War. Phillip was a 1950 graduate of Cayuga High School. He enjoyed watching football.

There will be no services per Phillip's request. Burial of cremains will take place at Hicks Cemetery in Perrysville, Indiana. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana is assisting the family with arrangements.
