Philip Henschen, 62, of Georgetown, passed away at 12:10am, Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, Danville, IL. He was born on September 14, 1958, in Danville, the son of Clarence "Speed" and Marilyn {Hughes} Henschen, both deceased. He was united in marriage to Cynthia Boyer on July 23, 1977, in Georgetown, until her passing on July 29, 2017. Philip is survived by his sons, Jason (Amanda) Henschen of Clarkhill, IN, Jeremy Henschen of Georgetown, & Eric (Jaimee) Henschen of Georgetown; his grandchildren, Zackery Henschen, Jacob Henschen, Sydney Austin, Cain Henschen, Seth Henschen, Kayden Parks, Khloe Dockins, Tristin Neuman, & his special buddy, Payton Brown; and his great grandchild, Gabriel Henschen; his brother, Mark (Debee) Henschen; his sister, Lisa (Mike) Crow; and many aunts, uncles, & cousins; and his dog & best friend, Ginger. Philip began working at Chuckles and later worked at Speedys Quick Print. He finished working at KIK until he retired. He was a lifelong member of the First Church of Christ in Georgetown. He enjoyed fishing and taking care of his fish tank, as well as watching murder mysteries and listening to music. He was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, & great grandfather and will be missed by many. As per his wishes, he will be cremated, and a family service will be held at a later date. His arrangements were entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Georgetown, Illinois 200 E. West St. Georgetown, Illinois 61846. Memorial donations may be given in his name to Georgetown Youth Football.
