Perle Franklin Ames, 79, of Danville (Hawbuck), passed away at 6:52pm, Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at his home. He was born on December 7, 1934, the son of Arthur and Emma {Holycross} Ames, both deceased. He is survived by: his brother, John Ames of Missouri; his nieces & nephews, Donna (Ed) Wallis of North Carolina, Tom (Lorie) Ames of Catlin, Rose (Jim) Watson of Tilton, Mark (Peggy) Ames of Danville, & David (Laurie) Ames of Danville; his special great nephew, Mark (Miranda) Ames of Hawbuck, who has lived with him for the past nine years; his numerous nieces & nephews; great nieces & great nephews, as well as, many great-great nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by: his 5 brothers; 3 sisters; nieces & nephews; and great nieces & great nephews. Perle was an angel on Earth who never knew a stranger. He was a friend to all & will be greatly missed. He enjoyed listening to music and collected watches & watch parts. He had a servants heart and was a hard worker. A celebration of Perles life will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, January 25, 2014, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, Westville, with Rev. Joe Humrichous officiating. Visitation will be 6pm-8pm, Friday, January 24, 2014, and also 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Atherton Cemetery.
