Percy Edward Allen

Urbana - Percy "Ed" Allen 83, of Urbana, Il passed away on December 29, 2017 at Illiana Veterans Hospital in Danville, Il. Ed was born on December 12, 1934 in Lawrenceville, Il. He is survived by his wife Martha, brothers; Ronnie and Richard Allen, daughter; Deborah (Jeff) Davis, grandchildren; Shanian Lusk, Travis Lusk, Jason Allen, Charles "Joey" Hoffman, Matthew Allen, Nathan Allen and several great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister; Dottie McClain, brother; Denny Allen, son; Eddie Allen and granddaughter Desiree Hoffman. Ed loved the outdoors, he enjoyed fishing and hunting with friends. He was the owner of several businesses, an evangelical Deacon and an avid sports fan basketball, stockcar racing and running were among his favorites. He ran his first race when he was fifty years of age. Most of all Ed enjoyed time spent with family. A Celebration of Ed's Life will be held on Friday, January 5th, from 11am-1pm at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 710 N. Neil St. Champaign, Il. 61820.
