Peggy Joan Grigsby

Danville - Peggy Joan Grigsby, 81, of Danville, IL passed away at 4:14 am on November 21, 2017 at Presence United Samaritans Hospital in Danville, IL. Peggy was born the daughter of Harold and Dorothy Anna (Wright) Martin on December 9, 1935 in Danville. She married Robert Grigsby in Danville, IL and he preceded her in death on October 29, 1999. Survivors include, two daughters, Sabra Grigsby of Danville, IL and Christine (Edward) Sumila of Danville, IL, three sons, William (Brenda) Grigsby of Westville, IL, Tim (Cindy) Grigsby of Oakwood, IL and Steve Grigsby of Paris, IL, one brother, Donald (Ruth) Martin of Colorado Springs, CO, twelve grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren as well as two great great-grandchildren. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert, as well as three brothers, Richard, Ralph "Butch" and David Martin. Peggy was a member of the Second Church of Christ and worked as a CNA at St Elizabeth Hospital and Colonial Manor. She loved to read, shopping, traveling, working crossword puzzles, spending time with her two dogs and watching her grandchildren play ball. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion Street, Danville, IL. Drew Mentzer will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Second Church of Christ.
