Peggy J. Miller

Peggy Joan 'Peg' (Reuther) Miller, age 87 of Danville, IL passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022 with loved ones by her side. She was born on December 3, 1934 in Danville, IL. The daughter of Clifford C. and Flora V (Wright) Reuther.

She married Richard 'Dick' Miller on June 15, 1972 also in Danville, IL. She is survived by sons, Ray (Debbie) Miller of Dandridge, TN, Michael E. (Wanda) Miller of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Theresa (Curtis) Smith of Danville, IL; son, Mark (Debbie) Miller, Springfield, IL; son, Michael L (Stacie) Miller of Georgetown IL; and daughter, Kristie Bailey formally of Danville, IL. Her 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Peg was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Sally and Nancy, and an infant grandson.

Peg enjoyed playing euchre, card games, her many trips to Chicago and Las Vegas. She enjoyed her many pets over the years with her latest Penny the cat. In her younger years she rode horses and bowled. Peg was an avid reader and loved the St. Louis Cardinals as well as her beloved Fighting Illini both football and basketball. More than anything she loved her family, holiday get togethers, summer cookouts and spontaneous visits from her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed the laughter, the telling of youthful stories and there were many having 6 children. Peg was as generous, tender-hearted and a kind lady who believed in second chances. Any and all that met or knew her would surely say the same as well as how fortunate they were to have met and knew her.

Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 has been entrusted with arrangements. A private family and close family memorial will be held at a later date.
