Pauline Winifred Cook

Danville- Pauline Cook, 96, of Danville, IL, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2023. She was born to Elmer and Mattie (Lovoria) Tharp on May 25, 1927, into a large, happy family. Pauline grew up in Watseka, Illinois, but soon lived and worked many places with the family she eventually built, consisting of her husband Alfred West and two children, Gary and Judy.

Pauline is survived by her son Gary West; granddaughters, Heather West and Candace (Clint) Johnson; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews that can be found around the country. Preceding her in death are her parents; Alfred; daughter Judy West; all 12 of her siblings; daughter-in-law Pam West; and nieces and nephews.

In her spare time Pauline enjoyed sewing. She worked in several places, from being grocery store clerk to producing aerosols at Continental Filling.

Pauline will be laid to rest in Gordon Cemetery next to her late husband, Alfred. Arrangements have been entrusted with Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N Vermilion St, Danville, IL.
