Pauline Sarah Michael

Pauline Sarah Michael, 98, of Danville, passed away at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday, May 3rd, 2011 at the Hawthorne Inn in Danville. Pauline was born on December 12th, 1912, the daughter of James T. and Edith J. (Moore) Smith. She married Dr. Oscar J. Michael on October 13th, 1934 in Paxton, Illinois. He preceded her in death in 1985. She is survived by a son O. J. (Natalie) Michael Jr. of Decatur, Illinois; and a granddaughter- Melissa Michael of Danville. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, eight brothers and two sisters. Pauline was a member of Central Park Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Danville Country Club for several years. She enjoyed traveling the world, hunting and fishing with her husband, ice skating, sailing and painting. She was an outgoing person and genuinely enjoyed the company of friends and family. Private family services were held on Thursday, May 5th, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Park.
