Pauline "Polly" Mae (Talbert) Loeffler, 99, of Danville, passed away at 2:30am, Tuesday, April 11,2023, at home. She was born on September 1, 1923, in Danville, IL, the daughter of James and Ethel (Smith) Talbert. She was united in marriage to William Carl Loeffler on February 21, 1944, until his passing on September 22, 2003.
Polly will be dearly missed by her children, Pam (Ron) Foster, Rick Loeffler, and Holly Dillon all of Danville, IL; grandchildren, Mendy (Steve) Spesard, Corbin (Tanya) Foster, and Dustin (Shannon) Foster; great grandchildren, Finley, and Fletcher Foster; sister, Betty Taylor of Indianapolis, IN. Polly will be remembered by her three nieces, Nancy Gallion, Shelly (Mike) Lazzell, and Jamie (Todd) Hustel; nephew, Mike Taylor. she was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl; brothers, William, and James; son in law, Alan Dillon.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, bowling, and crocheting. Polly was known for her wonderful homemade noodles and pies. She was a member of the former Hooton Church of Christ. The family would like to thank the dedicated caregivers who assisted Pollys daily care at her home.
A celebration of Pollys life will be held at 11:30am on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 414 S State St. Westville, IL 61883, with Pastor Raymie Gordon officiating the service. Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:30am on Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service. She will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery in Danville.
