Paula L. Floyd

Paula Leona Floyd, age 71

Born 12/4/55 in Bloomington, IL to Leroy and Alice Vannote Floyd Passed 8/21/2026 at Accolade Health Care, Paxton, IL. She was a graduate of Farmer City High School and lived in Rantoul most of her adult life. She loved to play the piano, going to the Rantoul Library, knitting, walking to the store and meeting people and attending the 1st United Methodist Church in Rantoul.

Her Mother taught her to play the piano and when her mother was in the Nursing Home, Paula would play for her and for the other residence to enjoy.

She was blessed to have a special angel who was by her side and helped her for many years, Thank you Karen Comeau of Rantoul. Also Thank you to her cousin, Darrell Floyd, for all of the help he provided.

She is survived by many uncles, Aunts and cousins on both the Floyd and Vannote sides of her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Alice Floyd, brother, George Floyd, Grandparents, Calvin & Leona Vannote, Ben & Monnie Floyd and many uncles, Aunts and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 31st at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center's Lux Chapel 1551 E. Grove Ave, Rantoul IL. 61866 from 10-11am with a service following at 11am. Paula will be interred at Deland Cemetery in Deland, IL.
