Paula Campbell

Paula Rae Campbell, 64, left this world with loved ones by her side on April 23, 2019 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Paula was born on May 25, 1954 in Danville, Illinois to Earl Raymond Amos and Alice (Ed) Joyce Cramer. On September 2, 1973, Paula married the love of her life and husband of 45 years, Randy Campbell, in Danville. He survives and will miss her forever. Paula will also be deeply missed by her mother, her son, Randy (Kristy) Campbell, Jr. of Westfield, IN, her sisters Terrie (Joel) Mays of Fort Wayne, IN and Sandra (Batch) Candal of Mesa, AZ, her brothers Raymond Amos of Japan and Larry Amos of Wilsonville, OR, and her grandchildren Raena, Willow, My, Landon, and Luke. She will also be missed by her very special friend Cindy (Dennis) Winn of Chapel Hill, TN, as well as several nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, her sister, Kathy Studer, and her daughter, Courtney Campbell.

Paula graduated from Danville High School in 1972. She began working for the Commercial-News while in high school and spent 44 years there working her way up to Business Manager before leaving in 2016. She gave the newspaper her full effort and they were fortunate to have her.

However, her true calling and passion was that of a mother. The oldest of six children, Paula helped raise her siblings whom she loved very much. Her journey in motherhood continued upon giving birth to her first child, Randy, and then her second, Courtney. Both to whom she was a dedicated mom and showed nothing but selflessness. Her journey did not end with those two, however. Paula took on the role of a mom for her grandchildren Raena, Willow, and My upon the passing of her daughter. She was wholly devoted to those three and happily spent her time watching them dance and play sports with pride. Those three children received as much love as Paula could give and they will truly miss their Mimi.

A Celebration of Paulas Life will be held at Noon EST on April 30, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 420 3rd Street Covington, IN 47932 with an hour of visitation prior to the service and presided over by Pastor Drew Mentzer. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on April 29, 2019 from 5-8 PM EST. Burial will follow the Celebration of Life at Hicks Cemetery in Perrysville, IN.
