WESTVILLE- Paul Vincent Hart, 90, of Westville, passed away at 7:50pm, on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at the Danville VA Medical Center. Mr. Hart was born on October 16, 1916, the son of Walter and Edna (Vincent) Hart. Both of his parents precede him in death. Paul married Ms. Charlotte Sliva. She survives of Westville and will miss him dearly. Other survivors include: his three children, Rick Hart of Westville, Paul M. Hart of Westville and Larry V. Hart of Georgetown; his special granddaughter; Cheon (Shawn) Hackett of State Line, IN; his two great-granddaughters, Bailey Payton Hackett and Bethany Kay Francis; his brother, John (LaVonne) Hart of Westville; and his two sisters; Marjorie Nigra of Westville, and Leah Yerem of Westville. Pauls two sisters, Lois Hart and Mary Nier preceded him in death. Paul attended Wingard Grade School in Georgetown and Georgetown High School. He later served with the 32nd Army Division, seeing action during the Papuan and New Guinea Campaign during WWII. After the service, Paul was employed with Lauhoff Grain Company in Danville, retiring after many years of service. He and Charlotte both greatly enjoyed spending winters in their motor home and summers camping. Paul especially loved doing for others, being outdoors, putting around in the garden, and tending to his fruit trees. He will be greatly missed by his family, neighbors and friends. A celebration of Mr. Paul Vincent Harts life is scheduled for 1:00pm on Monday, April 23, 2007 at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel at 414 S. State St. in Westville. Pastor Bill Capel will officiate the service. Interment will follow the service at McKendree Cemetery in Georgetown. Visitation will be from 2-4pm on Sunday, April 22, 2007 at the funeral home. The family has requested that memorial contribution can be made in Pauls name to the Forest Glen County Preserve and/or Trinity United Church of Christ in Westville.
