Paul Miller, 68, of Westville, Beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 19th, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 3rd, 1955, in Danville, to the late Russell and Dorothy Miller. He graduated from Westville High School in 1973 where he was a three-sport athlete. He then worked for General Motors and then retired from the City of Westville where he worked for the Gas & Water Department and Streets & Alleys Department. He married Johann Miller in 1982 and they had two children, Josh and Michael.
Paul was a kind, generous, and fun-loving person who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved Harleys, his grandchildren, and talking with friends at the coffee shop. He was a member of Westville First Church of Christ, The Georgetown Russells Lodge 154, and the Bondslaves MC. He was a devoted fan of Westville Tiger Athletics who enjoyed the many years of watching his sons play Tiger football, baseball, wrestling, and basketball. He volunteered for many years in the community devoting his time to coaching and mentorship with young athletes. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his two children, Josh, Michael (Lindsey); his grandchildren, Lukas, Levi, Scarlette, Dakotta, Darbiee, and Draycin; his sisters, Joyce Miller; Betty (Robert) Brooks; his sister-in-law Sally Miller; a special niece Nicki Miller (Paul Storke), nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert Miller.
A visitation will be held on Sunday May 26th, 2024, from 1-3 PM, Masonic services will be held before the service at 3:00PM, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Westville, Illinois, 414 W State St. Service will be conducted by Pastor John Mincy and a special prayer will be given by David Reece from the Bondslaves MC immediately following. Interment will be held at Sandusky Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Westville First Church of Christ, Westville Youth Football or Westville Recreational League.
