Paul M. Nasser, 87, passed away at 8:10am on August 1,2007 at Danville Care Center. Paul was born July 6,1920 in Danville the son of Abraham and Maude Higgins Nasser. On February 8,1942 he married Betty Galey at her parents home. Together they raised three daughters Ann (Larry) Jones of Danville, Jean (Paul) Newell of Blytheville, Ark. And Melissa (Robert) Virostek of Georgetown. He was also grandfather to Jeanie (Philip) White, Kimberly Mascari, John Mascari, Mandy (Evan) Rhodes and April Jones; great grandfather to Amy and Ashley White and Weston Rhodes; great great grandfather of Genevieve Vandergiff; brother of William Nasser and Ray (Sue) Nasser both of Danville and uncle of several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents, a sister Genevieve Nasser and brother Richard Nasser. Paul enjoyed growing roses and working in his garden. Model railroading with his grandson and restoring old sewing machines in his spare time. He was an avid Cubs fan. Most of all he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. A celebration of Pauls life will be held on Friday Aug 3,2007 at 3:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Officiating Pastor Kevin Cox. Burial Greenwood Cemetery.
