Paul M. Hart

Paul M. Hart, 71, of Westville, passed away at 11:45am, Sunday, November 26, 2017, at Hawthorne Inn, Danville, after lengthy battle of cancer. He was born on October 16, 1946, in Danville, IL, the son of Paul & Charlotte (Sliva) Hart. He will be dearly missed by: mother, Charlotte (Sliva) Hart of Westville; aunts, Betty Porcheddu of Indianapolis IN & Leah Yerem of Westville, Alice Silva of Westville; long time close & special friend, Debra Magness of Lowell, IN; many cousins & friends; foster nieces, Cheon, Bethany, Bailey, Kadence & Chloe. Paul is preceded in death by: father, Paul V. Hart; brothers, Larry & Richard "Rick" Hart; uncles, John Hart, Jake & John Sliva. While growing up, Paul was active in Westville sports, like baseball & basketball. Graduating from Westville High School in 1964. He received the Sportsman's Award his Senior year. He then attended Indiana University. After college, he became the manager of the Westville Park Recreation. He loved to ride his bike and walk his dog all over town. A celebration of Paul's life will be held at 12:00pm on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Sunset- Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S. State St, Westville. Pastor David Roberts-Mosser will be officiating. Burial will be in McKendree Cemetery, Westville. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made in his name to Trinity United Church of Christ or Forest Glen County Preserve where he would spend most of his time with his brothers and his dog named, Wolfy.
