Paul Henry Stormer

Paul Henry Stormer, 85, of Bismarck, IL., passed away on March 17, 2021. He was born on September 15, 1935, the son of Burgess and Lucille Stormer. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, whom he absolutely adored, Carol Murfin Stormer. His four children, Randy Dean (Betsy A.) Stormer, Carrie Lynn (Michael) Wendt, Cathy Ann (Robert) Cole, and Cheri Sue (Jeff A.) Weller. His legacy also includes 8 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Burgess and Lucille Stormer; brothers, George Edward Stormer, Burgess Jr. Stormer; sister, Jo Anna Stormer, and life-long friends, Bill and Carolyn Massey. Paul lived his life by the words written in his Bible, 'Lord, what would you have me to do....'. He was a devoted husband, a loving father. and grandfather. His greatest joys were his family, serving the Lord, and reading his Bible. He loved playing the organ, singing in his church choir, and quartet throughout his lifetime. He was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church. His hobbies included gardening, restoring Crosley cars, woodworking, watching NASCAR and Illini sports. Paul worked for Danville/University Asphalt Company for over 30 years as a civil engineer foreman and attended Northwestern University. A Celebration of Paul's life will take place at 2pm on Monday, March 22, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermillion St., Danville, Illinois, 61834. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation will be help prior to the service from 1pm to 2pm at the Funeral Home.
