Paul Edward Kero

Danville - Paul Edward Kero, 63, of Danville, IL passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at his home with his family by his side. Paul was born on July 7, 1953, in Chicago the son of Edward Paul and Laura Sabina (Klamrzynski) Kero. Paul is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Glenn Paul Kero, and brother-in-law Dan White. Survivors include his wife Linda Kero of Danville, daughter, Erin Kero and her mother, Ruth Kero of Chicago, stepson, Kevin Wolfe of Trevor, WI, sister, Paulette White of Dripping Springs, TX, sister-in-law, Laura Jane Williams of Leesburg, FL, two brothers-in-law, B. Frank Williams of Elgin, IL and Steven C. Williams of Kenosha, WI. Paul was born and educated in Chicago, IL and graduated from Lane Technical High School in 1971. Paul married Ruth and went to work after his high school graduation. He earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois, Circle Campus, in 1990 and went on to earn his Master of Management degree from Northwestern University in the year 2000. Paul was a strong family man. Although there was a divorce, he spoke to his daughter every day. He married Linda Joanne Williams on September 1, 1990, in Waukegan, IL. He invited his parents from Chicago in 1993 to his home, where they resided until 2005. Regardless of the work or education schedule, family was at the heart of his home. Paul's actions always spoke louder than his word. Paul moved to Danville in 2011 after accepting a position with Watchfire Signs, formally Time-O-Matic, as Vice President of Operations. Previous positions included President of N.A. Cherry Electrical Products, WI, and Director of Asian Business Development, Cherry Electrical Products, where he was based in Hong Kong, and President of Beltone Hearing Aids, Chicago. Paul's utilized his industrial engineering skills to modernize factories around the world. Paul loved the challenge of operations management and brought world class operations with him where ever he went. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12:00 Saturday July 15, 2017, at St. James United Methodist Church at 504 N. Vermilion Street in Danville, IL. Reverend Justin Snider will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at the church. Light lunch/refreshment will be served in the fellowship hall following the service.
