Paul E. Grubbs

Paul E. Grubbs, 84, of Veedersburg, IN, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012 at the St. Elizabeth Health Care Center in Crawfordsville, Indiana. He was born on September 23, 1927 in Wabash Township, the son of Alexander and Minnie (MacDonald) Grubbs. Both are deceased. He married Marilyn Joy Grady. She survives along with her three sons: Dan (Charlotte) Grubbs of Veedersburg, IN, Ron (Ann) Grubbs of Hillsboro, IN, and Alan (Jody) Grubbs also of Veedersburg, IN. His four grandchildren; Darrell, Alexis, Jay, Brooke, and his eight great-grandchildren also survive him. In addition to his parents, his three brothers, and two sisters preceded Paul in death. He served his country, enlisting in the Army during WWII. After the Army, Paul returned to farming and raising a family. He was a member of the West Liberty Church in Covington, the American Angus Association, Illiana Antique Power Tractor Association, the Perrysville American Legion, a past member of the Billie Creek Antique Tractor Association, and also a Moe Seed Dealer for 43 years. Paul's hobbies included restoring old tractors and spending time with family and friends. He made many friends through-out his farming years, and will be missed by all that knew him. A Life Celebration for Paul E. Grubbs has been scheduled for 11:00am EST on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Sunset's Covington Chapel located at 420 3rd Street, Covington Indiana with burial following the service at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by the Perrysville American Legion. Pastor Kevin Wildman has been asked by the family to officiate the service. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-8pm EST on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that memorials be made in Paul's name to the West Liberty Church in Covington.
