Paul D. Dunham

Paul D. Dunham, 77, of Perrysville passed away on July 16, 2025, at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice surrounded by loved ones. He was born on November 3, 1947, in Clinton, Indiana to the late Glenn and Genevieve Kell Dunham.

Paul attended North Vermillion High School and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was in every sense of the word a workaholic; constantly staying busy. He farmed for many years while also working at Tee Pak for nearly a decade before his 29-year career at Olins, now Flex-N-Gate, in Covington. Though officially retired in 2009, Paul did not sit still for long. He seemed to always have a new project or invention that he was working on and would find items or take scraps apart with a new idea or vision in mind. It seemed like the only time he could be found sitting still was when he was watching football and cheering on his favorite teams- the Red Skins and Colts.

Paul married Helen Cook, and together they shared 35 years of marriage before his passing. She survives. Also surviving are his children Danyel Dunham, Josh Dunham, Tammy (Billy) Hurst, and Michelle (Scott) Williams; his grandchildren Brandie Lowery, Karisa Bumgardner, Bree Boyd, Bailea Fegett, Ethan Kunkle, and Marlee Craft; and great-grandchildren Jaydan, Layton, Rylen, Alayna, Mia, Avery, Waylon, Bayler, and Riddic. He also leaves behind his twin sister Paula Williams; his brothers David (Charlene) Dunham and John (Sarah) Dunham; his good friend Randy Strange; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his sister Norma Marxmiller, and his brothers Morris and Charles Dunham.

A visitation will take place on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 from 12 – 2 pm at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center’s DeVerter Chapel, located at 215 N. Division Street in Cayuga. A funeral service celebrating his life will follow at 2 pm on Tuesday, also at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Eugene Cemetery following the services.
