Cayuga, Ind. - Paul D. "Cork" Woodard, 72, of Cayuga, passed away at 11:23 a.m. EDT Monday, July 13, 2015 at The Waters of Covington in Covington, Indiana. He was born April 13, 1943 in Clinton, Indiana, the son of the late William Scott and Mary Mageline Bennett Woodard. He married Edna P. Freed on June 7, 1975 in Cayuga, Indiana. She preceded him in death on April 22, 2008. Survivors include two sons, Paul(Fiance` Lisa Conrad)Hamilton and Charles Woodard both of Cayuga, Indiana; three grandchildren, Hailey, Colby and Taylor Hamilton and several nieces and nephews. Cork was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Woodard; two sisters, Carole Daniels and Elenor Joyce Newnum and two brothers, Charles Woodard and William R. Woodard. Cork was a 1961 graduate of Cayuga High School. He enjoyed playing cards, softball and baseball. He was a diehard Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Funeral services: 2 p.m. EDT Friday, July 17, 2015 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. Jason DEan; Burial: Eugene Cemetery in Eugene, Indiana; Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. EDT Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the funeral home.
