Paul Charles

Paul E. Charles, 56, of Danville, passed away at 8:00pm on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at the Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He was born on January 5, 1952, in Danville, the son of Winnie and Nina (Shaw) Charles. Both deceased. On July 6, 2006, Paul married Tina Smith in Danville. She survives along with five children; Peter (Veronica) Charles of Texas, Sharon Lynn Charles of Danville, Michaela Smith of Danville, Samantha Smith of Danville, and Catherine Smith of Danville. Paul is also survived by his six grandchildren, Karmine, Logan, Asjah, Isabella, Taylor, Sophia, his two brothers, Kenneth Charles of Danville, Carl Pete (Phyllis) Charles of Tenn., his three sisters, Kathy (Jim) White of Danville, Debbie Stephens of Tenn., and Anna (Timothy) LeClaire of Danville. His first wife, Brenda, and his second wife, Rita, precede Paul in death. Paul was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and devoted friend with a kind soul. He will be greatly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Paul was employed with KIK, working with heavy machinery. He enjoyed woodworking, motorcycle riding, and spending time with his family.
