Paul 'Awesome Lawson' Lawson

Danville Paul "Awesome Lawson" Lawson, 67, of Danville passed away at 12:25 PM at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL on December 28, 2020.

Paul was born on June 27, 1953 the son of Leslie Paul and Janet Marion (Wrisk) Lawson, Sr. He married Debra Russell on July 7, 1989 in Wonder Lake, IL and she preceded him in death on April 1, 2001.

Survivors include his daughter, Amber Morris of South Beloit, IL, his son, Christopher (Tammi) Lawson of Dawsonville, GA, one brother, Steven (Barb) Lawson of Sidell, IL and two sisters, Debbie Brown of Mesa, AZ and Ruthann (Jim) Augustyn of West Lafayette, IN, one granddaughter, Hailey Michelle Lawson as well as a special nephew, Dustin Lawson of Danville, IL as well as many other nieces and nephews.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Debra, and one son, Timothy Paul Lawson.

Paul graduated from Thornton Fractional North High School in Calumet City. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. In his younger years, Paul was a stuntman and owned and operated a Movie Stunt Business and School. Paul was a stuntman on various television programs, movies, and numerous westerns. Later in life Paul owned and operated janitorial businesses and a landscaping business. He enjoyed a variety of outdoor activities, playing pool and spreading Gods word.

Per Pauls wishes cremation rites will be accorded and services will be at a later date. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 is assisting the family with arrangements.
