Paul Alden Campbell, 88, of Danville, passed away Monday October 30, 2017 at 8:26pm. Paul was born in Danville on December 31, 1928. He was the son of Leslie and Meta (Moss) Campbell. On December 31, 1950 Paul married the love of his life Marlene Van Bogart and they spent the next 66 years together. She survives. Also surviving Paul are his daughter Pamela Jo Rubin (Ricke), son, Scott Alden Campbell (Sally), sister, Mary Jane Gladden (David), grandson, Aaron J. Campbell, several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as many special nieces and nephews. Paul is preceded in death by his parents, son, Todd Andrew Campbell and brother, Gene Campbell. Paul was a graduate of Bismarck High School as well as a veteran of the United Sates Air Force. He retired after over 25 years of employment at TeePak. He was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the Illiana Auto Club. In his spare time Paul could be found farming or watching NASCAR. Paul was a great man and will truly be missed by all who have met him. Special thanks to the Staff at Hawthorne Inn for their years of caring and patience. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2pm on Friday November 3, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Officiating will be Jay Sorrell. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery in Danville. Visitation will be held from 1pm to 2pm November 3, 2017 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Danville Humane Society.
