Patsy Scering

Danville - Scering Patsy Scering, 76, of Danville IL passed away at 7:17 pm on Tuesday January 29, 2013 at her residence in Danville. Patsy was born on March 17, 1936 to Dale and Edith (Middleton) Thomas in Covington Indiana. She married Dr. Richard Scering on July 1, 1964, in Covington IN, he survives. Other survivors include daughters- Karin Miller of Thorntown IN, Kim (David) Allen and Julee (Randy) Paddock of Covington IN, Susan Henson of Cayuga IN, and Loralyn (Jack) Hutchins of Lafayette IN; grandchildren - Megan, Ryan, Stefani, Dawn, Joseph, Josh, JohnMark, Hillary, Jessica, Kathryn, Grace, Evan and Lauren; and great-grandchildren Amali and Charli. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents and son Jeffery Scering. A woman of great faith Patsy devoted her life to God and her family. A former minister of the Body of Christ Fellowship Church Patsy had a PHD in Theology which she used to help bring the word of God to those around her. When she wasn't busy preparing lesson plans or studying her Bible Patsy was reaching out to those around her. She will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched. A celebration of Patsy's life will be held at 4:00 pm Illinois time on Saturday February 2, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville with Pastor Don Prouty of Latter Rain Fellowship Church in Danville officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service on Saturday from 1:00 to 4:00 pm Illinois time. As per her wishes Patsy is to be cremated following the funeral service.
