Patsy Ruth Roderick

Newport, Ind. - Patsy Ruth Roderick, 84, of Newport and formerly of Danville, Illinois, passed away at 1:30 p.m. EST Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Clinton Gardens in Clinton, Indiana. She was born June 29, 1929 in Jonesboro, Illinois, the daughter of the late Wilbur Allen and Thelma Jane Cole Roderick. Survivors include her sister, Roberta Hinote of Veedersburg, Indiana; two brothers, Robert Roderick of Bloomington, Illinois and Harold(Alayne)Roderick of Clinton, Indiana, and several nieces and nephews. Patsy was preceded in death by her infant sister, Shirley Roderick and four brothers; Gary, Bernard, James and Charles Roderick. Patsy was a retired beautician in the Danville, Illinois area. She attended the Newport Friends Church. Patsy was a 1947 graduate of Newport High School. She enjoyed traveling and watching the Chicago Cubs. Graveside services and burial: 11 a.m. EST Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Thomas Cemetery, Newport, Indiana. Officiating: Pastor Ramona Trover. There will be no visitation.
