Patsy J. Pichon

Oakwood – Patsy J. Pichon, 91, of Oakwood passed away at 12:08 AM on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at the Randall Residence in Decatur. She was born January 11, 1935, in Oakwood to Sardis and Mamie (Lucas) Clapp. She married Kenneth G. Pichon on July 3, 1954. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2017.

She is survived by a son, Brent A. (Lori) Pichon of Decatur; step grandchildren, AJ (Emily), Allie (Jessica), Luci (Patrick), and Jack; and step great-grandchildren, Jett and Everett.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Brian K. Pichon, and two sisters, Veatrice and Katherine.

Patsy grew up a “farm girl” on the family farm outside of Oakwood. She served as the Moose Lodge Secretary in Danville and later worked as a tax preparer at H&R Block. She enjoyed playing the piano, a pastime in which she was especially talented. Patsy and Kenny always knew where to find the poker machines and always had fun sitting down to a game together. She will be dearly missed by her family.

A service to celebrate the life of Patsy J. Pichon will be held at 1 PM on Monday, September 21, 2026, at Sunset’s Oakwood Chapel, 105 E. South Main St., Oakwood, IL 61858. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12-1 PM prior to the service on Monday, also at Sunset’s Oakwood Chapel.
