Patsy Ann McLain

Cayuga, Ind. - Patsy Ann (Norman) McLain, 80, of Cayuga, passed away at 8:41 a.m. EST Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.

She was born on August 25, 1946, in Cayuga, Indiana the daughter of the late James A. and Marjorie Maxine (Jordan) Norman.

Patsy married James E. McLain on June 6, 1965 in Cayuga, IN. He survives.

Other survivors include their children: Janda (McLain) Lee and Kris McLain, both of Cayuga. Six grandchildren: Brandon (Rosa) Lee, of Urban, IL, Shaylan (Kyle) Phelps, Dana, Ethan Lee, of Indianapolis, Ashton (Carrie) Lee, Abigail & Braden McLain, all of Cayuga and one great grandson, Parker Lee, of Urban, IL and bonus great gandsons, Alex & Juno Overton. Also surviving are two sisters: Shari (Kenny) High of Cayuga and Sally (Rick) Hill of Newport; brothers-in-law, Russell (Vicki) McLain and Doug Finley of Cayuga and John Clark, of CA; many nieces and nephews.

Patsy was preceded in death by her sister, Kay Norman-Finley, a granddaughter, Lairan Lee. three sisters-in-law: Carol Beam, Peg Sutliff, Mary Clark; 1 brother-in-law: Gene McLain.

Patsy retired from Dr.’s Mushtaq and Alnaquib’s office in Danville, IL. She was a member of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority and the Cayuga Christian Church. Patsy enjoyed fishing and camping at the River Camp, traveling to Florida and Las Vegas, cruises, going to the casino and most of all spending time with her family.

A Celebration of Life for Patsy will be held at Cayuga Christian Church, 406 South Logan Street Cayuga, Indiana, on Monday October 5, 2026, at 12 pm. Burial to follow at Thomas Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 10-12pm on Monday. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center's DeVerter Chapel in Cayuga has assisted the family with their wishes for Patsy.
