Patsy Mathis

Danville, Ill. - Patsy K. Mathis, 76, of Danville, passed away at 5:10 a.m. CST Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Gardenview Manor in Tilton, Illinois.

She was born September 21, 1941 in Indianapolis, Indiana the daughter of the late Harold and Mackie (Boyd) Brown.

She married Orval W. Mathis on April 21, 1986 in Newport, Indiana. He survives.

Other survivors include her children: Greg A. Apple of Covington, Indiana; Linda (Chris) Smith of Perrysville, Indiana; Art (Karen) Apple of Amherst, Nebraska and Cindy March of Crawfordsville, Indiana; step children: Johnny Mathis of Westville, Illinois; Paul (Marina) Mathis of Chicago, Illinois; Mike (Chris) Mathis of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Lisa (Shawn) Howard of Covington, Indiana; ten grandchildren; five step grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Patsy Angelmyer of Danville, Illinois and brother-in-law, Bob Hardy of Orlando, Florida.

Patsy was a homemaker. She enjoyed making ceramics and writing poetry.

Private family graveside services will be held at Lower Mound Cemetery north of Perrysville, Indiana. Visitation: Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 5 to 8 p.m. EST at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana.
