Patsy L Delp

Patsy L. Delp, 73, passed away peacefully at her home Friday, August 19, 2016 with her loving husband by her side. Patsy was born January 29, 1943 in Cayuga, Indiana the daughter of the late Johnnie Earl and Helen L. (Dugger) Uplinger. Patsy married Henry Jarvis Delp June 21, 1975 in Cayuga, he survives. She is also survived by three children; April (John) Shelato and George (Kenna) Hinote of Cayuga and Jarvis Lance (Carly) Delp of Lafayette, Indiana; ten grandchildren; Michelle (TJ) Hall, Brock (Kandi) Fortner, John C. Shelato, Jason Shelato, George (Linsay) Hinote, Nathan (Peighton) Hinote, Justin Hinote, Kenzie Hinote, Abbey Delp, and Ava Delp; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nine sisters; Maxine (Larry) Dillon, Hildred (Curt) Volkel, Mildred (Bud) Delp, Gretchen (Roger)Douglas, Helen (Raymond Clore) VanSickle, Margie Welch, Carolyn Glossop, Alma (David) Loveall and Bonnie Uplinger; three brothers; Carroll (Glenda) Uplinger, Gerald (Vickie) Uplinger and Byron Uplinger and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two infant sisters,and her paternal and maternal grandparents. Patsy retired from United Samaritans Medical Center (Provena Hospital) after 38 years of service. She enjoyed canning, knitting, crocheting, quilting and playing Bingo. Her favorite thing in life was her family. She dearly loved each one and will be missed by all her friends and family. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at DeVerter Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Garrison officiating. Burial will be in Hicks Cemetery in Perrysville. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at DeVerter Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Hospice of Wabash Valley.
