Patrick Lee Harrington

Danville Patrick Lee Harrington, 52, of Danville passed away at 3:55 pm on August 20, 2020 at his home in rural Danville.

Patrick was born on August 26, 1967 the son of Brent Lee and Judith (Lovell) Harrington in Orange, CA. He was married to Cynthia Hicks on March 3, 2005 in Olivet, IL and she survives.

Survivors also include his daughter, Maddie Harrington of Danville, IL, one brother, Sean Harrington of Provincetown, MA, one sister, Kelly Harrington of Golden, CO and his mother, Judith Harrington of Newport Beach, CA.

Patrick is preceded in death his father, Brent Harrington as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Patrick was the proprietor of Canine Design Dog Resort in Danville, IL. He attended Second Church of Christ and enjoyed spending his free time hunting; especially pheasants with his Chesapeake Bay Retriever, fishing and riding his 4-wheeler. Patrick loved animals and at one time had quite the menagerie on the homestead, including turkeys, ducks, a donkey, and a variety of other animals. Most recently he taught his daughter, Maddie, how to waterski at the lake. He was very supportive of local animal shelters and animal care organizations.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 3:00 PM (CST) at the United Methodist Church, 284 W Depot Street Perrysville, IN 47974. Ken Green will officiate. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the family for the college education fund for his daughter, Maddie.
