Patrick H. Kaine Ii

Patrick H. Kaine, II, of Danville, Illinois, age 51, passed this life on February 27, 2005 at Provena/United Samaritans Medical Center. He was born on December 16, 1973, the son of Francis B. and Julie (Miskinis) Kaine. His father preceded him in death, but his mother survives. Pat is also survived by his three children, Patrick H. Kaine, III, Megan E. Kaine and Stephanie L. Kaine, all of Danville, and two sisters, Carole Elkin of Hillsboro, Texas and Debra (Jack) Damien of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Pat's children were everything to him. He was and still is very proud of their accomplishments, both academically and athletically. At the time of his death, Pat was employed as a Case Manager for Crosspoint Human Services in Danville. Before that, he was the District Services Director of Operations for Check n Go of Illinois, Inc. Pat graduated from Schlarman High School in 1972. In that year, he was selected to the first ever Illiniois Class A High School All-State Basketball Team. Among his most memorable games was a 51 point, 20 rebound, 10 assist performance against Georgetown High School in December of 1971. Pat continued his education as a 4-year basketball scholarship student athlete at Christian Brothers College in Memphis, Tennessee. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. While playing basketball at Christian Brothers, Pat set the college's single-game scoring record with a 40 point performance. Pat was very involved with his children's activities, including District #118 PTA and Winterview Softball Park. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A memorial Mass will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Danville, Illinois on Saturday, March 12 at 10:00 AM. Officiating will be Father Ted Pracz and Msgr. C.B. Mottsett. A light lunch will follow at the Mottsett Center. Memorials may be given to Schlarman High School, 2112 North Vermilion, Danville, Illinois or Winterview Park, P.O. Box 342, Danville, Illinois.
