Patricia Schrishuhn

Patricia Ann Schrishuhn, 96, of Danville, IL, passed away at 7:04 PM at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville on August 13, 2024.

Patricia was born on July 20, 1928, the daughter of Anthony and Cornelia (Radomski) Rutkowski in Georgetown, IL. She married Albert Schrishuhn on February 21, 1970, in Danville, IL, and he preceded her in death on August 14, 1991.

Survivors include her step-daughter, Debra (Charles Lembke) Schrishuhn of Urbana, IL.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, husband Albert Schrishuhn, and three siblings, Claire Kulpit, Joann Burke, and William Rutkowski. She is survived by four nieces, two nephews, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews and their children.

After retiring from her secretarial position at the First National Bank of Danville, Patricia became a member of the Danville Garden Club and various local civic organizations. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, playing the accordion and the piano, and reading to schoolchildren through Golden K Kiwanis Club of Danville. She was also an excellent cook, and possessed a great sense of humor and sharp wit that often passed over the heads of her audience.

A Celebration of Life will be held on 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, IL 61834. James Blue will officiate. Entombment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made in Patricia’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
